Post subject: Recreating a South Park Episode
Does anyone know how long it would take to turn a south park episode into a 3d episode...I was just curious how long it would take to make a 20 minute episode if there isn't much detail...My computer is really basic but I am using cinema 4d r12. I know its 30 frames a second but a show like south park that is soooo basic i cant imagine would take more then a couple of months to make, but i could be wrong. Any advice would be great

Mostly depending on what kind of shading/lighting you are using and the resolution of the finished product and how many computers you can throw at the problem and how fast they are.
That said, it's only 36000 frames. Using a simple shading model, I would say 2-3 weeks using 50ghz.

I have often thought about doing this myself but with a simpsons episode, would be interested to see how far you have got
