AMD R9 290X vs nvidia Titan

Which one is better for 3ds max , Blender and Mudbox?

The nVidia might be better for blender because the cycles renderer uses Cuda.

I am wondering about 3ds Max and Mudbox?
And what about raw power?

Anyone has any real experience experience with these video cards?

I don't have any real experience with these cards but benchmarks shows that R9 290X in some tests is outperforming the Titan.
And it's 40% cheaper than Titan.
But titan is still a higher end Video Card. It has 6GB Ram which is great for Mudbox and 3ds Max.
