How to make the tube rendering more 3 dimensional with Maya?

Hi all,
I've been trying to render some brain fiber tubes for some medical visualization purpose. But I've been told that the tubes are not 3D enough even I rendered them with Maya mental ray GI. The following is one picture that I rendered, you may click to see it in full resolution.
I used three lights: one spot light that is placed at the camera position and casts soft shadows; one spot light on the top and casts soft shadows and one point light on the left that does not cast shadow.
I am not an expert in the realistic rendering. Can anybody tell me how to improve the rendering to make the shape/curvature perception better?

Thank you!

Hi GuohaoZhang,
You can try to increase the camera angle to add more perspective.
