3D model of a foil balloon?

Hi all,

I'm a graphic designer for a firm in Mildenhall - we design and manufacture foil balloons. We're searching for a way to pre-visualise the designs - other than printing on substrate foil and hand making a balloon! We need a 3D representation of an 18inch foil balloon which we can skin with any design. It has to realistically show the folds of a balloon and the chrome-like texture of the metallic foil.

What software would people recommend to do this in? I'd have to train myself up - and it's too busy to spend alot of time learning a new package. Plus it's unlikely my boss would pay out for top end software for this one task.

How would you go about this if it was your project?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Nick

If the form of balls or the same standard, then the labels easier to add in Adobe Photoshop, the photo of the ball. If the form is under development, in any 3D program (3d max, Rhinoceros, Zbrush)
