Cannot read messages

Hello, this is for an admin, if possible.
I registered yesterday (no problem) and posted a job available. Today I received a message saying I had an new private message. However, when I click on the link to that message (my inbox, I suppose), all I get is a one line message saying I cannot send private messages and must post 10 useful posts in order to be able to do so.

Can someone tell me why this is happening, if it is normal, and if not, how I can get around it?

I am sorry for the inconvenience but it is to protect the forum from Private Message spams and scams. It is very difficult to detect this kind of spam because it is hidden to admins and moderators. So 10 posts have to be posted before you have access to PMs.
