Hey guys. For my schools HSC im creating a Viking. I need to model this Viking on some soft of 3D software.

I'm familiar with ProDesktop but that program is used for architecture.

I need a suggestion on what program to use. I need software that has a nice learning curve, beginner friendly but also be powerful enough to create custom armor (for my Viking)

By the way the software does not need to include animation capabilities, although it would be a plus.

Thanks.

ZBrush and Mudbox are good sculpting programs. Read about them. If you think about animation too then Blender is good choice for now. Free and as powerful as paid soft.

I would suggest Maya, it has a great character modeling capabilities. ZBrush and Mudbox are good if you know how to sculpt, but Maya is good to model using traditional tools like nurbs.
