deltatre media is looking for JUNIOR GRAPHICS DEVELOPER - UK
Starting Date: Feb 2012, duration - Permanent
Job details: deltatre medias Television Graphics team provides results and graphics services to several high profile sporting federations and broadcasters in the UK and Europe. Using the latest software and hardware we produce innovative and dynamic graphics to provide information and branding to the television production of sporting events.
The Junior Graphics Developer is responsible for the technical build of graphics projects; building user friendly, functional graphics templates for use on live operations across a number of projects. There will be a requirement for on-site support and operations at sporting events; a close working relationship with clients is extremely important.
Define and deliver complex graphics solutions using a combination of in-house and 3rd party solutions
Develop, maintain and support graphics scenes for new and existing projects including management of archives and assets
Develop, maintain and support templates built using VizRT
Produce technical project documentation
Explore new/existing graphics technologies that could drive future business
Graphics operational roles including support and/or operating
To build and maintain close working relationship with deltatre Torino graphics team
Training of operational staff on technical areas of the projects
Liaising, capturing and sharing knowledge with technical project staff
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role is a junior position to join the Graphics team within deltatre medias technical department. This team is responsible for design, development, operations and support tasks for several high profile graphics projects.
The junior graphics developer role is based at media house in Wimbledon although extensive European and possible worldwide travel and on-venue work will be required. Due to the nature of sporting events evening and weekend work will be required for operation and support for live sport events.
Requirements: deltatre media is looking for a talented and motivated individual with a passion for 3D design and sports. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a related design, technology or broadcast subject. Previous experience of working in a live television environment would be an advantage.
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience of Autodesk 3DS Max
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
Sound IT knowledge, especially Windows based applications and system management
Knowledge of programming, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JavaScript, VB Script, MaxScript would be an advantage
Experience with broadcast graphics solutions such as VizRT or Chyron would be an advantage, although full training will be provided
Excellent interpersonal skills
Competencies:
Communication skills Internal and client facing
Organisation and Time Management Project planning and working to strict deadlines
Resourceful/Problem solving Ability to logically find solutions to technical and project issues
Quality control Excellent attention to detail
Interest in sport, technology and design
Qualifications:
Educated to degree level (at least 2:1) in a design/technology/broadcast subject
