SOFA Studio is looking for Character TD
Job details: SOFA Studio is seeking a Character TD to join our team for the new animated feature film.
Essential Job Functions:
-Responsible for evaluating, planning rigging works. Ensure the works are finished on time and within budget.
-Reports work plan to Production and Modeling Supervisors and updates work progress on a regular basis
-Implements animation control rig systems for complex characters using Maya, has a strong sense for body/facial rigging and oversees the characters/props rigging throughout the animation pipeline.
-Responsible for character related physics simulation riggings, such as hair, cloth, and muscle.
-Able to develop tools and plug-ins to optimize rigging workflow, and provide technical specification, naming convention, construction, modification and maintenance of all 3D character rigs.
-Self-managing ¡X organized with good time management. Must be able to identify and meet goals
Requirements: REQUIREMENTS:
-3+ years of related experience and experience in rigging or supervising for Animated Feature Films or Animation TV series
-Full knowledge of Maya
-Knowledge of anatomy and modeling skills
-Knowledge of character and facial rigging techniques
-Knowledge of physics simulation in animation production
-A detailed understanding of 3D pre-production pipeline
-Good programming and scripting skills in languages such as C/C++, Mel and Python
-Knowledge of computer graphic and related mathematics especially in geometry processing
-Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
-Able to work both collaborative and independently.
