SOFA Studio is looking for Modeling Supervisor
Job details: SOFA Studio is looking for a Modeling Supervisor to join our team for the new animated feature film.
Essential Job Functions:
-Responsible for leading and overseeing the team that creates the character models, rigging, and textures. Ensure the works are finished on time and budget, and meet the quality requirement.
-Reporting work plan to the Production Supervisor and updating work progress on a regular basis
-Review works of each artist on a regular basis and report the achievements at each important stage to the Director.
-Ensure and maintain the quality and style of the models across the project.
-Interprets the briefs from the Director, communicates with art department, and translates creative direction to the modelers.
-For technical issues, consult with TDs as to the feasibility of elements in the designs and suggest production friendly solutions that will maintain the vision of the project.
-Self-managing ¡X organized with good time management. Must be able to identify and meet goals
-Planning production process of the character models, rigging, and textures according to needs of different project. Working in collaboration with the Production Supervisor and RD team to develop the most appropriate elements.
Requirements: REQUIREMENTS:
-5+ years of related experience and experience as a 3D modeler or modeling supervisor on Animated Feature Films or Animation TV series
-Full knowledge of Maya, Experience in ZBrush or Mudbox
-Bachelor¡¦s degree in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts or equivalents having gained a strong sense of anatomy, character design, surface development, proportions, and mechanical
-Proficiency in hard surface, organic and procedural modeling is required
-Great taste and sharp sense in shape, color and textures
-Traditional model building a plus
-Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

-Mainly communication by English, speaking Mandarin a plus
