YAGER is looking for SENIOR ARTIST (f/m)
Starting Date: ASAP
Job details: YAGER is an independent developer of computer and video games based in Berlin, Germany. We are specialized in the creation of AAA, multi-platform action experiences, for a global audience. Attention to detail is a hallmark of our development; from refining game play to the point of excellence, to instilling both the stories and the environments with enough depth and detail to set our products apart.
We are an English speaking studio with more than 100 people from 15 different countries. This rich mix of individual skills, backgrounds, and perspectives creates an open-minded and collaborative atmosphere vital to the success of our productions.
SENIOR ARTIST (f/m)
YAGER seeks the talents of a seasoned and passionate Senior Artist who enjoys a collaborative creative work environment and is looking to work with like minded professionals to create a true action experience for multiple next-generation platforms.
Responsibilities
• Help define the art, content workflows and asset quality standards for an AAA action multi-platform game in a collaborative team environment
• Create stunningly beautiful art adhering to both aesthetic and technical requirements
• Lead fellow artists by example and inspiration
• Work autonomously and take initiative
• Report directly to the Art Director and work closely with other disciplines in small interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
• At least 5+ years experience as an Artist in game development
• At least 1 shipped AAA console game title
• Strong knowledge of environment, prop and character modeling as well as UV layout and texturing
• Strong knowledge of the Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of 3D and 2D authoring tools
• Knowledge of current 3D graphics techniques
• Excellent communication and team skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Desirable skills:
• Experience in developing for XBox 360 or Playstation 3 is beneficial
• Experience with lighting, post processing and shader/material editing are beneficial
• Experience with content management systems (Perforce, Alienbrain)
