Scaling rigged character problem

Hello there.
I’ve Got few characters rigged and skinned. I used CAT. What I need is to scale them and I’ll have to do it many times. For example I’ll need animations of growing up and getting smaller. I was using few methods but scaling bones always results with incorrect skin reaction and fatal model deformation. Methods where model scales properly doesn’t scale every parts of model. For example I’m scaling model but its eyes and other separate elements are still small. It makes that I can’t use it for growing animation where character will grow and move simultaneously. The one thing that works is scaling bone by bone in animation mode but it will consume much time and won’t be precise at all. Especially if I’ll need to do it many times. Is there any method to simply scale whole character without deformation?
