Percolate Digital is looking for Animator, Artist
Starting Date: TBD, duration - TBD based on project length
Job details: Percolate Digital is looking for innovative animators to join our 2011 creative team.
Percolate is an animation company specializing in non-fiction CG & FX for broadcast & non-broadcast television.
Current productions include ESPN’s “E:60” (which was nominated for a Sports Emmy in Graphic Design), History Channel’s “101 Gadgets that Changed the World” & a series for Discovery’s new 3D channel, 3Net.
We also have several shows in development, both for 2D networks and 3D networks.
Applicants should be well-versed in deadline-oriented CG, compositing, motion tracking, and rotoscoping. Our applicants aren’t required to have all these skills, though having them helps, production-wise.
Requirements: In addition, we are interested in individuals with:
- minimum 5 years experience producing CG and FX for deadline oriented network television – critical
- Familiarity, at least, with compositing software (After Effects preferred)
o Specific CG software platform is not critical. Our artists all work in different environments.
- the ability to create practical solutions to technical and aesthetic challenges without relying solely on once piece of software
- the capacity to work in a remote setting primarily via e-mail, Skype and FTP (including consistent access to a fast internet server)
- the capability to create photorealistic cg environments in addition to more technical/informational graphics
- Comfortable in systematically addressing all notes provided by either Percolate Art Director and/or client(s)
- superior time-management skills including a flexible work schedule that can adhere to due dates as they change
