Hello,
I'm currently in the middle of developing my Industrial Design portfolio so that I can apply for my placement next year, unfortunately the program I am using to render (keyshot 2) is unbelievably limited in functionality.
Does anybody know a program I could use as a stand alone renderer that gives extremely good photorealism as well as being extremely flexible, i've heard about mental ray but the standalone version would seem to be scarcely availible.
Preferably Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5 compatability but I am able to convert models to STEP and 3ds format also.
I'm not so interested in rendering animations, this is for single frame renders only.
