CG JOBS
No Fate Productions is looking for Modelers, Animators, and Texture Mappers for Terminator: The Connor Chronicles, a CGI Film project

Starting Date: ASAP, duration - Long term

Job details: We are a production group for a fan-made continuation of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Our intention: to continue the story as envisioned by the crew of the TV show. The project consists of 13 CGI episodes, each 30 minutes in length. We are in need of CGI modelers and renderers for a project of this scope. This is a long term commitment without pay, we are purely a volunteer organization. If you are a fan of the TV show, or you want to create something which has never before been done in the history of CGI, then we want YOU!

You will be part of a massive enterprise. We have a complete organization of voice actors, writers, and an official website (http://www.terminatorcc.com). We have already written two full episodes which are ready for production, and are currently finishing 3 more. We anticipate having all 13 episodes fully written in the next 6-8 months. We have departments already hard at work on voice recording and storyboarding.

We also have extensive preliminary work, from concept art to facial reconstructions. Please contact me if you wish to see them.

Join today. You are the Resistance.

Requirements: Experience with Blender or another modeling program

Location: From your home. We communicate via email, forum, and Skype.

Hi, I'm the production manager for the project. I'll be posting some images with our preliminary work shortly. The website's about to undergo a redesign, adding new members to the list, media to browse, a page with instructions for joining, etc.

If you have specific questions you can also contact me directly on this forum. I'd be glad to answer them. I should add that experience with Blender is not a requirement, just experience with any modeling program. Blender is just the program our CGI department is most familiar with.

I should also add that this is a planned expansion. We know it's a ton of work to do all this. We're planning on a CGI modeling/animation team of 12-15 members. So you won't be working alone, not by any means

And here are a few images for you to look at. These are going to be uploaded to the website in a few weeks, along with some more concept art.

Hey guys, Godfather here with another update. We're still chugging along and still looking for 3D animators. The website has a few more media updates. Here's a look at our HK VTOL, done by one of our modelers Silard.

If you're interested, please contact me here or go to the website and follow the directions for registration.

Posted another news update. We have a new character mesh up for Sarah Connor, still a draft but close to finishing (we need to add her hairdo), and some early concept artwork.

Head on over to www.terminatorcc.com to check it out!

Another news update on www.terminatorcc.com. We're progressing steadily on completing our first episode. We need someone with texturing experience for Blender, though, as we've got a lot of models to texture and rig. Contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com if you're interested.

Here's a sample image where using too:

Hi guys, back with another update with some concept art on the site. We've added a couple of character modelers to the team but we could really use another texture mapper with experience in Blender.

We also need another sketch artist for concept art and some storyboarding. If you want to draw scenes from the future war contact us!

Hi gang. Back with another update! Most of our voice cast is filled but we still need CGI help (all we can get). If you can work with Blender, 3DS Max, or Maya, by all means send us an email.

We also can use another artist. Here's an example of our latest concept art. If you want to model this thing, contact us!

Hi gang, another update on the site. We've got a fully textured and rigged T-800 to show off now, here's an image.

Still looking for CGI help, especially with texturing, rigging, and animation, another concept artist, and a few voice actors for a couple open parts (though the main parts have been cast). Contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions if you're interested.

Hi guys, back with another update. We need a character modeler to craft the Thomas Dekker model for us. Any program can be used, we've started using COLLADA file extensions to transfer objects and textures between users and it's working very well (we used Cinema 4D to make our Summer Glau model and it transferred into Blender without a problem). Most of the basic modeling for the first episode is completed, but we need character models crafted now and it's holding us back. So even if you want to try your hand at this, contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com.

Another update available on our site now. Someone's volunteered to craft our John Connor model for us but we have several more to make, such as models for Brian Austin Green and Garret Dillahunt (who played Derek Reese and John Henry on the TV series). We also have a Sarah Connor model that needs to be completed. The head is finished but the body needs to be worked on.

With 2 models completed (Summer Glau, T-800) we actually need a rigger for Blender. Also, we've got a bunch of untextured models that need to be textured. For example, the HK-VTOL model above. Contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com if you're interested. Any work you complete for us can be used in your own portfolio.

Hi guys, another monthly update has been posted. We have a sample image of our Jonathan Jackson model, which is almost completed.

We still need a rigger for these models, but if you want to just add textures, say, email us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com. As long as you can commit to working on the project in some capacity, we'll be happy to have you.

Another update on the site gang, you can read it here http://www.terminatorcc.com/?p=369

At this point we have 4 character models finished, and all the objects needed for 2 scenes between a couple characters (they're all modeled and textured). However, each of these models are not rigged in Blender or 3DS Max, and we need someone to do this. Once the models are rigged, we'll be able to animate, so we need an animator and a rigger. Things are ready to go.

Back with another monthly update. You can read it here: http://www.terminatorcc.com/?p=400

We've got 4 completed models now, really need someone willing to rig and animate a couple of them.

Here's our John Connor model, which needs to be textured.

Hi guys,

Back with another short update on the site. Basically our biggest need right now is a dedicated animator, though we could use some help in generating a couple of scenery pieces. Please contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com if you are interested.

Hi gang,

Another news update available on the site. We've had 1 volunteer animator join us, still looking for more, but we need someone willing to do rigging on our models. Basically we've got 1 model fully rigged for 3DS Max (and nothing else), and all the other character models are unrigged.

Contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com if you want to help out.

Hi guys, just a little addition to my previous update. We've got 2 members who both use Autodesk Maya to animate. The problem is we don't have any rigs for our character models using that program. So, we desperately need someone will to rig our finished character models. Please contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com if you can help us.

Hi guys,

Another monthly NEWS update is on the site. We've found a couple more modelers, but we urgently need someone who can rig character models in MAYA. Please contact us at tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com

Again, to remind everyone, this is volunteer only.

Also, feel free to ask questions about the project in this thread, too.

We're still in need of more volunteers with the following skills:

• Modeling – Create and/or animate 3D models (character modeling, especially)

• Mapping – Create texture maps for CGI models and animation

• Scenery – Create lighting, background for scenes involving models and animations, create 3D landscapes

• Visual Effects – add visual effects to finished animation, such as fire, blasts, laser shots, lens flares, etc.

• Experience with an available 3D modeling program preferred (e.g. Blender, Maya, 3DS Max et. al.)

If you can you help, we'd love to hear from you! Email us: tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com

An on-going project of this magnitude requires lots of people with a variety of skills. We always need more volunteers (see the previous posts for more info). If you can lend a hand, email us: tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com

Hey guys. We're still in need of volunteers on this project.

While we're happy to hear from anyone who wants to help out, we're in particular need of a character modeler and an animator right now. Two of our existing character models are rigged in Maya, so an animator skilled in that program would be ideal.

If you have some time and skills to lend, please email us: tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com

Any sketch artists in the house?
We're in need of a storyboarder — someone who can read a script and create a series of black and white drawings based on camera directions.

For the non-sketching rest of you:
Perhaps you can volunteer your general CGI modeling and texturing talents? We're always in need of those! We're also looking for an animator capable of using Maya and/or Blender, and a rigger.

If you have some time and skills to help out on this Terminator project, we want to hear from you. Please email us: tcc.no.fate.productions@gmail.com
