Job details: YAGER is an independent developer of computer and video games based in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1999 by five dedicated developers and artists, our focus is the creation of vivid and meaningful AAA gaming experiences. Today, a team of 80 plus developers is busy at work bringing YAGER’s vision of gaming to life.

Yager Development Announces Collaboration with 2K Games on New Project for Current Generation Consoles and PC.

Requirements: Responsibilities:
* Researching and developing solutions for complex art and design workflows collaboration with the respective department leads
* Designing, implementing and maintaining art and level design production paths using both off-the-shelf and proprietary software
* Creating training files, examples, text and tutorials and assisting art and level design staff in learning new technologies and processes
* Reviewing current and emerging technologies and technical developments for incorporation into the game engine
* Providing feedback on contingency solutions and timelines
* Establishing performance profiling and guidelines
* Documentation of new systems and tools

* 2+ years experience as a Technical Artist in computer generated art, preferably in game development
* Strong knowledge of the Unreal Engine and current 3D graphics techniques
* Knowledge of modelling, lighting, texturing/shading, rendering, rigging, skinning, in-game physics and special effects
* Experience with authoring tools such as Photoshop, Mudbox
* Strong understanding of technical limits and excellent technical problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and team skills
* Ability to communicate effectively in English

Desireable skills:
* Experiences with Xbox360 or PS3 are beneficial
