Beginner question - 3d Model for Packaging/Cans/Bottles et..

Hi everyone,

I have just joined this forums to research some of the tools I need to create 3d packaging like this link here:

http://www.doschdesign.com/products/3d/Packaging_Design_V2.html

I have been asked to find the best software that can render this type of work. I don't really need anything to animate as such. I have looked at blender before, but there seems a real learning curve. Also it only needs to be rendered and then bought into photoshop for labels to be overlayed.

any tips or links to any good software would help..

Thanks

3Ds Max has got to be the best one out there... it is very expensive if you don't torrent it though. So... I recommend Blender if you have no money, or Hexagon if you have some. Pretty much any program will be able to do the things you see there. Good luck.
