3ds Max: exploding scatter obj.

i have a scatter object with 2000 elements. i want to explode its diffrent elements but leave the stack (flex, vol. selecet) as it is for each new exploded object.

that way each new object will have its own flex mod. and will not act exactly the same as the others.


hope i got the idea throu.


can this be done?

I don't think it's possible with the normal tools.
May be through some scripting.
Or by using particles instead of scattering compound object.

Can't you apply the modifiers after you explode the object?
