CMP Media LLC - Game Group is looking for Conference Specialist

Job details: Conference Specialist CCMP is currently looking for a Conference Specialist for their conference team in the Game Group! The CMP Game Group is responsible for 8 main events in the mobile games, serious games and other growing segments of the video game industry. The main purpose of this job is to assist the conference team in sourcing and building the editorial content of the GDC and the other CMP Game Group events.
The duties for this position include: game industry outreach, individual session development, speaker coaching, and strategic content development. The objective is to ensure that GDC events meet or exceed expectations.
The position will work alongside the existing conference management team and assist in managing the production of the schedule and sessions, the call for papers, the web site, and the show program in conjunction with the marketing, sales, web production, and operations teams. The position reports to the GDC Director, and will work with him directly in defining new event strategy, maintaining the integrity of the GDC brand, as well as serving as an alternate spokesperson.
The qualified candidate will have deep and varied game industry knowledge and contacts and professional team management experience. The candidate must also be detail-oriented, be able to multi-task and self-motivate, and have strong writing and editing skills. BA/BS degree and previous conference experience preferred. Domestic and international travel is required.
