Job details: IDT Entertainment is an up and coming animation studio. We are seeking talented, hardworking individuals to come join the IDTE family. With studios located in the USA, Canada and Israel, we give you the opportunity to explore different avenues and take creativity to a whole new level. Overall; Responsible for balancing the look and story needs of the film with the schedule, budget and available tools as well as the Toronto Studio pipeline and its current technical parameters.
Acts as a partner and guide to Producers, Directors and Production Designer in achieving the look of the film within the technical parameters, scale and scope of the production schedule/budget.
Partners with Producer, Directors, Head of Story and Production Designer during story turnovers to make sure creative needs and technical capabilities are both met within schedule/budget guidelines.
Spearheads complexity assessment of production sequences and ensures their production feasibility before OK to Layout. Partners with Producer, Director, Assoc Producer and Heads of Dept in this assessment and troubleshoots early concerns.
Provides solutions and alternatives to creative issues keeping within the style and scope of the film both globally and within department capabilities.
Responsible for day-to-day inter-department work flow. Troubleshoots and provides solutions as needed during the entire 3D production process. Advises and oversees interdepartmental integration and communication. Arbitrates decisions on interdepartmental issues when needed.
Partners with Technology in the assessment and problem-solving as it relates to the Toronto Studio pipeline. Responsible for making sure the pipeline supports an efficient and stable work environment for the team.
Partners with Technology in overseeing rendering resources and disk space allocation for the production.
Supervises any early CG Development testing and R&D; needed for tool and pipeline development.
Partners with Assoc Producer in the identification and hiring of key department heads. Reviews and advises on artistic leadership and artist recruitment needs. Participates as needed in artist reviews and performance feedback.
