How do I stop the texture from deforming with the vertices? I want to move the geometry around and have the texture stay where it is.


Im using XSI 3.0; I haven't frozen the projection, but it still ...

hi every one...


I installed DX 8.1 and tried to use Direct 3d on my system.....every thing goes fine but in Win98 the geometry is leaving trails while i try to manipulate it but i m not having this ...

Right - but i want the mirror in the x
Thats why i'm using it...
So it mirrors fine when the points are close from each other but as they go more far from each, the mirror becomes less and less notice ...

I'm using the standard tool with X and M (deform in the x and mirror ) but the farther the points get from each other the less mirror i'm getting on the mesh - any ideas?

what I did is just made a sphere, and mapped a texture to it, then set the sphere's primary visibility off, and kept visible in reflections on

Well... it doesn't need to be THAT accurate.
I'm not using it to illuminate, just something to reflect.
Just looking for suggestions of types of photos / modifications to them that make decent reflect ...

What's a good image map, to map onto a sphere (as a cheap environment) so that chrome can reflect something?
The one I made makes the reflections look bleh

I have 2 duplicate objects with multi-uv sets on each. I need to copy one of these sets to the other poly , and UVTRANSFER copys them all dammit. what to do?

It's low-poly modeling with the intent to subpatch (meshsmooth is a subpatcher, and not really a great one)
