  1. Use detailed subjects. Subjects like "Please help" or "3d modeling question" are not useful. Write specifically what you want to know or what kind of help you need, also specify the software you use in the subject.
  2. SPAM is Not allowed on 3dmd Forums. If your message is identified as spam your account will be deleted with all your postings so don't lose time.
  3. Do not post the same message in different forums this is considered spam and may lead to your account deletion. Instead choose the forum that best suits your topic and post there.
  4. Use the search before posting a question. Many questions have been already answered. If the answer you found lacks some details it is better to reply to that topic and ask for more details instead of creating a new topic.

Yeah, I've been around the block since I first posted this question. Autodesk pulls all old copies within days of their newest release. They really cover all the bases, and make it impossible to purchase their product for under 3,500 or so. I ended up buying a copy of 2011 for a mega steal deal at $3,200....I am offically legit! No more hacked copies for this sucker!
Thanks for the response though Andyba.

Good question, artferd. Smile
My answer is I don't know if there are ways to purchase 3ds Max cheaper than it is.
May be only an older version... But I doubt that Autodesk are selling them.

This is my first post here, although I've been doing 3d animation for awhile. I'm to the point were I need to purchase a copy of 3ds Max, but I find that it is really way too expensive for my wallet. Am I missing something, is there a cheap legal way to purchase a copy of 3ds Max that doesn't cost $4,000?
