How to animate a rolling cube in 3ds max? I need a controlled animation with keyframes no dynamic simulation.

Lessy, in 3ds max you cannot animate the pivot.

I once was asked to animate multiple cubes on an interview. But I used dynamic simulations and it was in Maya.
Regarding your question the only way I know of doing it in 3ds max is to use dummies and animated link constraints.
Or you can create a script that will animate the box for you.

I didn't know 3ds max can not animate object pivots.
Softimage can do it. I thought every 3d software can.
Frankly 3ds max sucks.
