OTTIMO is looking for Compositor

Starting Date: Immediate, duration - 1 Yr

Job details: 1)Extensive knowledge of current compositing software such as Shake and After Effects, Combustion or Anima or Opus; 2)Knowledge of various other programmes including Photoshop; 3)Understanding of 3D animation process, particularly Lighting; 4)A good eye for composition, colour, light and shadow; 5)Good knowledge of keying process; 6)Methodical and thorough approach to work, and attention to detail; 7)Ability to communicate with colleagues and work as part of a team; 8)Ability to take direction and willingness to address comments and make changes; 9)Ability to work with a minimum of supervision; 10)Ability to deliver on schedule, working under pressure if required; 11)Respect for the procedures and requirements of a particular studio, production or pipeline; 12)Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures.

Requirements: Key Responsibilities:1)Reporting to the HOD. The Compositor is responsible for seamlessly integrating elements from various sources including live-action plates and CG elements into a final photo realistic shot. Works within a very collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing. 2)Communicate and collaborate with the Lead Compositor and other members of the VFX team. 3) Blue/green screen matte extraction. 4)Integrate CG and live action elements seamlessly with background plate. 5)Enhancing, extending and duplicating elements in a photo-realistic manner. 6)Foresee, troubleshoot and communicate potential problems. 7)Seek out new techniques and processes which help to increase efficiency and enhance the overall look of a shot. 8)Some tracking and rotoscoping duties as required.9)An eye for composition, lighting and colour with respect to photo-realistic integration. 10)Ability to work in a collaborative Team environment. 11)Strong problem solving skills. 12)Highly detail oriented. 13)Demonstrated ability working with Shake, Nuke and/or Combustion. 14)Strong communication skills, with the ability to take and apply direction. 15)Effective individual time management skills with respect to sensitive deadlines.
