Hi buddyboy!
That's an interesting question! Here are my ideas regarding hardware: Workstations: processor i7, Quadro FX 5600, >12 GB ram, dual 24 inch monitors, or one 30 inch monitor, wacom intuos or CINTIQ for artists that need them. Render Farm: processor i7, onboard video, >12 gb ram _________________ Andyba, 3d artist skills: 3d modeling, texturing, rendering, 3d character animation, compositing 3d software experience: 3ds max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Deep Paint 3d, Body Paint 3D, Wings 3D, Z Brush 2d software experience: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After effects, Macromedia Flash, Freehand Last edited by Andyba on January 21, 2010; edited 1 time in total |

Wow! This is some amazing hardware...
I can't even imagine what it can be used for 250 times more powerful than a workstation!!!! what is the price? _________________ Andyba, 3d artist skills: 3d modeling, texturing, rendering, 3d character animation, compositing 3d software experience: 3ds max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Deep Paint 3d, Body Paint 3D, Wings 3D, Z Brush 2d software experience: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After effects, Macromedia Flash, Freehand |

I think that tesla and Quadro FX 5600 is too much for a workstation.
It is better to invest in good artists. |
