Hi guys, i'm a beginner and I wanted to know the programs that are based on directX and can run on directX cards like a geforce...

and which ones are openGL based and require a quadro card for good performance?

At the moment you can run almost all openGL 3D programs with GeForce.
Regarding programs that use directX, I know only of 3dsmax.

I think Truespace is based on DirectX.

Ricky do you have any experience with Truespace? How is it in comparison to 3ds max? Is it good for animation and special effects?

I use 3ds max but I don't use Truespace.

To Attach an Image to your post write the message then press the Go Advanced button. In the bottom of the advanced reply screen you will see an option to upload an image from your computer.
