when i apply maps with alphas to objects (as decals) i'm getting some black halos around the image. is there a premultiplied option anywhere to help me remove this effects, i'm struggling to find anything.

It's strange I've just tried using textures with alpha and everything looks fine.
May be something is wrong with the texture itself in your case?
Here is a nice tutorial for texturing with alpha decals may be you will find the answer there:

To Attach an Image to your post write the message then press the Go Advanced button. In the bottom of the advanced reply screen you will see an option to upload an image from your computer.
