3D Forum - the 3D Computer Graphics Message Board

I'm using the XSI EXP version. I'm going through the 3dtutorial series on materials and lighting.

I'm trying to add a spot light that will be used for GI lighting. When I use Get->Light->Spot, the light that is created is a point light. Changing the light type to Spot does not add the spot root and interest which is undesireable.

I've never seen this before, and a search of here and XSIbase didn't turn up much. I looked for a preferences file to delete, but didn't find much that looked promising.

Suggestions?

Softimage Xsi: Get->Spot creates Point light (?)

Message body: To Attach an Image to your post write the message then press the Go Advanced button. In the bottom of the advanced reply screen you will see an option to upload an image from your computer.	Confirmation code: Enter the code exactly as you see it. The code is case sensitive and zero has a diagonal line through it.
