Hello,

I currently use volumetric light to make an arrangement of blinking lights.

The volumetric light of my spot was adjusted to be as big as the light bulb, and it all looked pretty nice in the test renderings, but...well:

Somehow the distance of the light to the camera seems to have some effect on the visibility of the light. And my object moves forth and back from the camera, so sometimes I see the volumetric effect, sometimes not. Thats confusing. Theres not even a transition, just "be or not to be".

Where can I adjust the camera-ray-length the effect is visible ??? I think I adjusted almost any parameter of the volumics, but none had an effect.

My lights have a volimic effect with: Map Size 100, Reflectance 0 to 0,1, Min-Distance=0. THe light itself is a spot with cone 160, exponent 5, intensity 0 to 1. Shadows enabled, umbra 0, no falloff.

Thanks in advance for all replys.
