We're building a rendering server to take care of scenes and models from both Max and Maya on the server.
Dual amd opt2.4 dual-core in a sm h8da8-2 mb , 4 sata 10k 150g hd w/ raid 1, 16g ram, XP64 os. We're interested in what you would suggest for graphics prosessing since that is this server's main purpose. The motherboard has 2 pci-e x16 slots wo/sli... So would the dual cards do that much better than a single. Wildcat Realizm 800 Quadro FX4500 FireGL V7300 are being considered. |

If it will be just a rendering server, and no interactive work will be done on it I think that the graphic card is not really important. _________________ Andyba, 3d artist skills: 3d modeling, texturing, rendering, 3d character animation, compositing 3d software experience: 3ds max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Deep Paint 3d, Body Paint 3D, Wings 3D, Z Brush 2d software experience: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After effects, Macromedia Flash, Freehand |
