In Character-Studio I can select parts of a Biped (or all of it) and copy-paste or copy-mirrorpaste the position onto the other side.

So, I can make a walking pose and then mirror the whole character pose and thus easily create a walk cycle.

Can I do I similar thing in XSI?

To Attach an Image to your post write the message then press the Go Advanced button. In the bottom of the advanced reply screen you will see an option to upload an image from your computer.
