I like it.. but it's a remake of a danish movie, and the danish version was better

I get pretty confused by the plot
What's the danish movie?
What's "nigthwatch" do?

I thought it was based on the russian novels by the same name

In the Russian version has some good special effects, but the film is too abstruse, a feature of Russian cinema:)
