Is there a way to transfer the IK animation into FK.. and then tweak the FK..
My idea is to sketch quickly the animation with IK then transform it to FK and create all the follow through and wip actions with FK.. How can I do it in XSI? Thank You _________________ Fiery |

There is a handy tool called Key All Bone Rotations.
You can find it in Animate/Create/Skeleton/Key All Bone Rotations Here is how I use it: I mapped a hotkey to it. Then I just move the IK effector and press the hotkey for Key All Bone Rotations. So all the bones rotations in the chain are keyed. And I don't even have to make the IK animation. I can see directly the FK motion. It's a handy way to position the hand with IK effector while animating in FK mode. Hope it helps. Cheers! _________________ Andyba, 3d artist skills: 3d modeling, texturing, rendering, 3d character animation, compositing 3d software experience: 3ds max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Deep Paint 3d, Body Paint 3D, Wings 3D, Z Brush 2d software experience: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After effects, Macromedia Flash, Freehand |
