Semag is looking for Art Manager- Vibrant European City

Job details: Our client is one of Europe Leading Games Developers and is currently expanding their dev teams. They are looking for an Art Manager for an exciting FPS for Consoles and PC.
Working along side an Art Director and Lead Artist, you will be responsible to manage the art department from a scheduling and production perspective. Your job will be to lead a team of over 40 artists in scheduling, tracking and reporting with risk assessments and solutions to drive the art departments production whilst reporting to the Producer.
Proven experience on a minimum of 2-4 complete titles/productions that have shipped, and proven expertise with large PC/console titles.
Min 2 years management or supervisory experience.
Schedule planning across the project with Art Leads.
Tracking weekly progress in development.
Running weekly status meetings.
Present and communicate the appropriate issues to other project leads (specifically the Art Lead, Art Director & Producer).
Highlight risks in development, on progress and provides solutions.
Review all Creative and Technical Design Documents and advise senior management of any foreseeable issues / concerns plus provide recommendations where appropriate.
Risk-assessment and budget-predictions on the assigned project.
Write and assist with management of project schedules and resource planning.
People-problem solving and motivation practices.
Mentoring and training of Art Leads in project management.
Tracking development processes and providing solutions for improvements.
Contribute to the design and development of internal art tools.
Continue to enhance organization and communications skills.
Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, game design information and technical know how.
Manage and maintain software licenses for the project.
Conduct Artist appraisals with Lead Artist.

Demonstrated ability to be proactive and self motivated, work without direct supervision, and present the work of the team and the project in a professional manner.
Demonstrate an understanding of creative and technical design processes (technical background preferred) as well as ability to integrate them while ensuring that high production values are never compromised.

Proven ability to evaluate development risks and provide contingency plans.
Proven presentation skills.
Proven written and verbal communication skills (face-to-face, via teleconference, and via telephone); must be able to communicate difficult and creative concepts in a clear and concise manner; capable of writing and understanding design documentation for any aspect of game development.
