Job details: Software Designer/Tester The AI.implant development team is a fast paced, dynamic team developing AI tools and middleware for the game and military simulation and training (MS&T game markets. Developers regularly work directly with customers and other partner software vendors on cutting edge technology solutions used in two of the most demanding industries of video games and MS&T.;

JOB SUMMARY

Working within a distributed team environment and under the guidance and supervision of more experienced staff members, the SOFTWARE DESIGNER/TESTER will design, develop and execute test cases for a suite of AI tools to ensure the highest quality in terms of performance and stability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and code C/C++ API regression tests;
Create test applications using APIs and GUIs;
Work directly with customers to debug and support their goals and pipelines.
Create and execute daily performance tests;
Perform tests on target hardware ie. Xbox 360, PS2
Automate execution of test suites;
Validate automated, unit and performance tests;
Detect, report and track defects;
Identify usability issues and inconsistencies;
Develop test plans, test designs and test reports and identify test coverage metrics;
Carry out work items according to company test processes and procedures;
Estimate time required for completing assigned work items;
Identify, communicate and discuss product issues with product management, technical support, technical publications and engineering;
Validate product installations.
Support the point release cycle.
Respond to customer support questions.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

REQUIRED:
University degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline;
Experience on 1+ major shipped software title/product/3D production
Proficient in C/C++ programming in Windows;
Proficient in Maya and/or 3ds Max and/or Unreal Engine 3
Capable of communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-workers and developers;
Strong command of the English language; French spoken;
Dynamic, quality driven, enthusiastic and autonomous.
Ability to, and strong interest in, effectively communicating technical solutions (i.e prior technical support or teaching assistant experience).

ASSETS:
Experience in software testing and writing test cases;
Perl script programming;
Experience testing or developing on Xbox and/or PS2 platforms.
Experience with automated test tools and/or scripting languages;
Familiarity with code coverage tools.
