Job details: Climax is continually growing and adding new games into production and now has a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Animator a stunning new title at our ideally located LA office in the perfect seaside town of Santa Monica.. Our ideal candidate will be:

An exceptionally good character animator.
Able to supply well-presented examples or a pertinent show reel that demonstrate your knowledge and execution of timing, weight, expression, posing, etc.
Able to showcase a healthy percentage of your work showing realistic, human-proportioned bipedal animation.
Experienced enough to have worked on two or more published titles at a senior level of responsibility as a character animator.
Experienced in systems control animation as opposed to just cinematic and cut scene work.
Professionally conversant in Maya and Max with some Mo Cap experience.
Experience in Unreal 2 and or 3.
Willing to put some hard work into quickly expanding your current knowledge base and being a fast learner as necessary.
Professional and effective at communicating directives, ideas and critique within an animation team as well as attending and contributing to departmental lead and producer meetings as required.
Experienced at troubleshooting technical problems and creating solutions with regards to 3D animation in a game engine, from constraints to exporting, whatever the problem may be.
