Job details: Director, Games Platform Are you passionate about Internet games, global game networks and online game technology? Yahoo! Games, one of the companys fastest growing divisions, seeks a dynamic, technically-savvy product leader and business manager to join its team. In the role as Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for building the Games teams Platform business. This will require an acute strategic mind, a successful track record building platform products, and an ability to develop and grow teams. You will work closely with people and groups both inside and outside Yahoo to understand the market, develop the platform strategy and to execute on that strategy. You will need to evangelize the Y! Games platform and its opportunity both internally and externally to game developers and game publishers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Build and grow the platform team. Mentor team members and develop and retain talented Y! PMs.
* Develop the platform strategy and articulate the value and opportunity to senior management.
* Drive the product roadmap working with customers, Engineering, QA and project management to define requirements and prioritize initiatives based on market dynamics.
* Manage your team in the efficient and successful execution of the end-to-end product lifecycle.
* Evangelize the Games Platform opportunity at all levels of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Successful track record in building and managing platform products previously
* 3-5 years management experience of teams
* Broad knowledge of the online game industry
* Demonstrated deep experience in game development and production or game technology development. Experience in game network development a strong plus
* Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to present effectively to senior management.
* Ability to manage external constituents including driving meetings with key partners, articulating their pain points, gathering requirements and internalizing those for the team. Will need to travel some.
* Evangelism experience
* Ability to prioritize among many competing alternatives and plans, balance customer needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions
* 5-7 years of product management experience in Internet communication services and developer programs. Software development experience a plus.
* BA/BS required. Computer Science degree highly desirable.
* Experience with developer programs or working with ISVs a plus.
