                            | Setting up a hand for animation is a tricky thing.
The gestures, the movements of wrists and finders
are very important, they express emotional states
of the character and interact with other characters
                              and objects. |

                            | The setup of legs and feet is maybe the most important
thing in the whole rigging process. Bad foot setup
may lead to the well known "sliding-feet" effect,
which is very annoying and usually ruins the whole
                              animation. |

                            | I've noticed that there seems to be one thing that
many newbies (myself included) tends to bump into.
And that is animating tracks for a tank or the like.
                              I did a quick search a while back and I couldn't
find a tutorial that covered this, so I thought
I'd try my hand at writing one. |

                            | Can *you* use Blender to make groovy character animations?
The answer is YES! I was able to create my first
lip sync by using a nifty little shareware program
called Magpie (to decompose the audio track) and
through the magic of Blender's Relative Vertex Key
                              system. |

                            | In this tutorial, we'll be playing around with curves
and procedural objects a bit. Starting off with
only a handfull of shapes, we will make an animation
of a ride through an abandoned mine. The technique
used will allow you to make changes to the shape
of the path easily and not have to worry about recreating
stuff like the motion from scratch. |
