Hello!

I am learning Rhino with one of the Lynda tutorials. There are a couple of things that seem easy to do but are giving me trouble. I am using the Beta Mac version of Rhino which is little bit different from the Windows version used in the tutorial. I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with:

1. Whenever you extrude vertically a closed surface (ie. an ellipse) you should be able to turn on the control point on both the bottom and top edges of the surface. I can't do this. I only get two control points on at the end of two perpendicular lines across the extruded surface. Am I missing a step?

2. Also, I can't select curves on the edge of a surface. Whenever I try to do this I do get the pop up window telling me to choose between the edge and the curve and I try to select the curve. However, the color of the curve does not change to yellow to tell me it has been selected. Do I need to hit a key to select it?
