University of Wolverhampton / Severn Partnership is looking for KTP Associate (3D Modelling)



Job details: The Knowledge Transfer Partnership will build upon existing 3D laser-scanning expertise, develop the 3D modelling capability as a core service to all clients, and will ultimately to create a dynamic 3D modelling department within the business.

The successful candidate will have completed a relevant degree (First or 2.1) in a discipline closely related to 3D modelling and/or computer graphics. Ideally you will have post graduate experience in a commercial environment in a field related to 3D modelling.

You must have experience of developing 3D CAD models, preferably from point cloud data, and knowledge of some or all of the following software packages: AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3DS Max, Polyworks, Point tools and Geomagic. Experience of Leica Geosystems Cyclone software would be an advantage. Ideally you will have a portfolio of modelling work and project examples.

You must be innovative, self motivated, and be able to take ownership of this project and see it through to conclusion. You must have experience of working in a team environment, and have been an active team member.

The successful candidate will be required to be ready to undertake travel as necessary to develop their skills and market the 3D modelling service


Location: The company is based in Shrewsbury, but works throughout the UK and overseas, utilizing the latest survey technology, IT infrastructure and CAD software, backed up by a wealth of survey expertise and experience.
