Job details: This Little Fish is a CG-focused post-production company making pre-dominantly advertising quality still imagery for clients such as as Nissan in the automotive sector and other brands such as Nike.

We\'re growing and successful, driving the adoption of CG into areas of image production that are new and exciting. We\'re looking for someone who can answer most (all would be nice) of the brief to help us manage our systems and keep us doing what we do best. Negotiable salary/rates depending on experience.

Requirements: Primary Responsibilities
• Assist in managing all day to day Admin duties
• Desktop support for all users including production, admin., and executives
• Installation and configuration of new computers: Windows,OSX,Linux
• Supporting our users with a variety of applications (Maya,Renderman (Alfred/RPS/RMS),Photoshop)
• Display calibration
• Assist in the update and maintenance of exterior website.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with various services (FTP, Email, NFS etc.)
• Data Backup
• Assist clients with data transfer issues.
• Assist artists with pipeline issues.
• Render-farm maintenance and upgrades.
• Network Maintenance
• Server Maintenance and troubleshooting.

Essential Qualities:
• Quick learner?
• Must be able to deal with all levels of staff effectively.
• grounded knowledge of RedHat Linux and OSX 10.{4,5} and Windows XP
• must have good troubleshooting skills.
• must be reasonably proficient at bash scripting.
• Good knowledge of network filesystems (CIFS/NFS/SFTP/FTP)
• unix file permissions (osx/linux)

Preferable Qualities:
• Maya debugging (Crashes, reasons etc.)
• Experience with FlexLM based licensing
• Experience with MySQL/PHP
• Previous experience working in a cross platform environment.
• knowledge of Windows Server 2003R2 (Active Directory)
• Knowledge of post-production pipelines
• understanding of LDAP/Kerberos
• Knowledge setting up and maintaining pixar\'s Renderman tools in a cross platform environment (XP workstation, Linux rendernodes)
