Blizzard Entertainment is looking for 3D Background Artist



Job details: The Diablo III team is looking for a 3D Background Artist skilled at creating models and texture maps for both architectural structures and natural environments. 3D Artists assist in the design and creation of objects and characters that populate the environment, using programs such as Maya, and participate in game design with the rest of the team. The ideal candidate has outstanding skill in both modeling and texturing of background objects and environments.

Requirements: • Expert modeling skills using Maya, 3DS Max or equivalent 3D program
• Superior eye for light, shade, color and detail in creating texture maps.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop.
• Passion for games
• Able to work full-time in the Irvine area.

Plusses

• Experience with architecture, illustration and traditional drawing skills
• Experience creating game levels and scenes

Location: Irvine, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
