Hi all..

I'm looking for a cartoon character.
I've been trying to make these for ages now, but everytime i have a good model i like and convert the poligons to subvi (something) Maya crashes or i get the message (nothing to convert)...

When i does convert it, and i edit the character again, so that it's perfect: Save it and then open a new scene for it's house...

When i'm going back to Maya to my character: Maya crashes...
And i'm sick of it... It only happens to any character i make, but houses and other stuff does work good and never crashes on that...

So now that you know the background of my problem:
Is there someone who could help me make a character: for me to animate and use that??? Ofcourse the creator will get creadit for it's Design....

Thanks in advance

Does it happen when you work on a specific character only or on all the characters? There could be some errors in your 3d mesh like double edges...
I don't remember how to check for this kind of errors in Maya.
So what you can do is try to delete some parts of your 3d model and check the subdivision on the parts... to see which contain the problem
You should kill the history every time before you try.
Also try to make all polygons in your models quads with 4 points only.

May be this is a bug in your program or it can be problem of the s/w… So try to reinstall the s/w and do it again.
