What is peoples favorite 3D modeling package? and why do you think this is a good package?
I require this information because I am doing a project for college on what is a good 3D modeling package for a home user, by testing and evaluating them

Hi Kinpower.
First you have to clarify what a home user will be doing with a 3d modelling package... Or do you consider freelancers working from home - home users? Wink

My favoriite is Carrara and Blender.

Carrara because its cheap but produce good renderings.

Blender is powerful and free.

LSLS is really professional at it.

We are using the Archimodel series, the newest series have 3D people model, at the same time we have a 3 people team devote to the 3d animating people modeling. If you need, i am glad to help you.
