Is it possible to use the environment shader with final gathering?

When I try it everything turns to the color of the environment shader.

Should I turn down the intensity of my light or do I have to adjust a parameter in the environment shaders property box?

Any suggestions would help.

It is possible to use environment shaders with FG.
The easiest way is to create a image based lighting pass.. It will automatically assign a environment shader to that pass, ask you to browse for an image to assign to the environmental shader and turn on Final Gathering with the right settings.

Well I read once again your message and I think I gave you the wrong answer.. Smile
FG will automatically use your environment shader to illuminate the scene.
So in your case if you don't want it just open the environment shader property window, and in the intensity group set the image intensity to Zero.

Cheers!
