Hey

I'm try to create an environment by apply shader to
the default pass, here is what i did:

in the render tree node-->environment-->more
and i choose legacy day,and connect it to the
environment input of the scene material node

then from the render tool bar i go pass-edit- current
i select environment shader tab and click add
now i select the legacy day shader click ok and..

this is what i got.."this is an invalid preset type,please select a shader preset"

am I doing something wrong??

You should have done only the second thing.
That is go pass-edit- current
i select environment shader tab and click add

But I don't advice you to use the legacy environment shaders they are old..
