Job details: The Art Institute of Washington, a private accredited career-oriented college of creative professional studies, offers programs in Advertising, Audio Production, Culinary Arts, Digital Media Production, Game Art & Design, Fashion Retail & Marketing, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Interactive Media Design, Media Arts & Animation, Photographic Imaging, and Visual & Game Programming.
Serves as the principal academic officer for a specific program or programs. This position oversees Media Arts and Animation, Visual Game Programming and Game Art and Design. Responsibilities include: day-to-day operations, assisting students toward successful program completion and staffing the classroom with instructors who support the mission of the college. Requires a Master?s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in animation, game art design, visual and game programming, or another related academic field. Working knowledge of all three academic areas and relevant experience in the academic field of specialization. Appropriate industry credentials. Preferred terminal degree in animation, game art design, or visual and game programming with three years? experience in industry and education. Held positions of increasingly responsible experience in the industry and / or education. Fiscal and personnel management experience.
