That's the thing I want to learn about IBL... making my own HDRI images and using it to light a scene
But I need a better camera, and the big sphere and the tripods and whatnots

You need a camera that does multiexposure takes
I borrowed one from a friend
And made skyphotos
And assembled them in psCS2
Which is quite fast and yielded for my unknowing soul better results than hdrshop
But saving and loading and working with it in photoshop is really a pain
