Job details: Sony PlayStation: NOC Specialist Responsibilities:
* Monitor Game Server network and server hardware interactions and responds to alerts; ensures and assists in compiling reports based on Game Server status.
* Understand the server-side dynamics of all Online Games titles and how they should function within the hardware and online systems.
* Participate with PD IT team members in addressing and completing correct courses of action by interpreting Linux and Oracle Database monitoring tools.
* Perform First Level Games Server Problem Determination, document problems, notify other groups and escalate problems.
* Maintain and update Online Games Server operations documentation.

Qualifications:
* Able to work with PD IT systems administration staff; advanced
English language telephone skills for problem resolution; intermediate level English grammar skills for documentation maintenance.
* Must demonstrate assertive problem determination skills.
* Intermediate level Windows, Unix/Linux, and network operations
skills; Basic MS Office and web browser skills; basic level Internet knowledge; basic PlayStation Online Games knowledge.
* Must be able to work on shifts to support a 7X24 computer operation.
* Some post high school education or training.
