Digital Domain is looking for IS Administrator
Starting Date: ASAP
Job details: Digital Domain, the Academy Award-winning visual effects studio located in Venice Beach, is seeking an IS Administrator. This is an entry-level technical support position that fields all digital production requests and serves as the support buffer for both the software and systems departments. Responsibilities include responding to end-users requests and assisting system administrators in debugging and monitoring workstations. Responsibilities also include monitoring disk space, account creations and hardware/software setups and installations.
The successful candidate must have a Computer Science degree or related work experience. A strong interest in technical tools and good problem solving skills are essential, as well as knowledge of various VFX software packages (Renderman, MentalRay, Maya, Houdini, and Lightwave). Experience working with technical and non-technical users preferred and a background in Systems Administration, Windows/Linux, or networking is desirable. Basic Perl and/or Shell scripting is a plus.
